Cartridge Bearing Wheel Kit Builder (Mavic, ZIPP, Bontrager, Easton, Reynolds, etc.)
Want to upgrade your wheels to LIGHTNING FAST CERAMIC? Use our NEW WHEEL BEARING KIT BUILDER.
We have a list of bearing sizes we've compiled over the years for a variety of manufacturers. Please view the list to determine what size bearings you should select when building.
If you don't see your wheels listed, you or your mechanic will want to check your hubs for the sizes used, then select them from our kit builder.
How do you find out what sizes are used? It's really easy.
The sizes can be obtained in one of two ways. First, you can look for the size embossed on the rubber seal of the bearing (6901, 6803, etc.) or you can measure the bearing's IDxODxWidth in millimeters.
Measuring requires you to remove the wheel bearings so if you can get the sizes from the seals it is much easier and removal is not needed.
Here is a list of bearing sizes and their respective measurement:
8x16x5 = 688
8x22x7 = 608
9x22x7 = 608-9
9x24x7 = 609
9x20x6 = 699
10x26x8 = 6000
12x28x8 = 6001
12x21x5 = 6801
15x24x5 = 6802
17x26x5 = 6803
10x22x6 = 6900
12x24x6 = 6901
15x28x7 = 6902
17x30x7 = 6903
15x26x7 = 15267
17x28x7 = 17287
The kit includes 4 bearings of your choice (2 PCS Front, 1 PC Rear Drive Side & 1 PC Rear Non Drive Side) for $120. You can add 1 or 2 cassette (freehub) bearings as needed for an additional charge.
Most wheels use 1 or 2 bearings in the freehub, so you have the choice of adding NONE, 1 or 2, to suit your build.
