Warranty

VCRC Bike Limited Warranty

We don't like the word warranty but we have to use it since that is what people expect. The reason we don't like the word warranty is that it is usually a negative experience for the customer. The customer is often afraid the company will deny the claim, gets riled up and then things go downhill from there. So let's make it simple...

.... Here is what we offer. We're a very small company made up of bike mechanics and bike enthusiasts who've been fortunate enough to survive in the bike industry. We don't have a large warranty dept that will judge your claim and try to find a way to deny it.

So here is what we do, we take a look at your problem and try to figure out what happened to cause it. We may ask some questions of you or whoever installed and maintained the part. If we feel the problem was caused by something we could've done better, we'll fix it or replace it at no charge. If it is something that we feel was on the user's end (poor maintenance or poor installation), we'll still fix it or replace it but there may be a small charge.

So either way, you are covered if you have an issue. Unlike other companies, we understand that racers are hard on parts and we want to get you riding again as quick as possible.


LIMITED WARRANTY:

-Carbon fiber items purchased from this website are covered by warranty for a period of one (1) year to the original purchaser for any manufacturer defects.

-Non carbon parts purchased from this website are covered by warranty for a period of one (1) year to the original purchaser for any manufacturer defects.

-Ceramic bearings purchased from this website are covered by warranty for a period of one (1) year to the original purchaser for any manufacturer defects.

-Clothing purchased from this website is not covered under warranty as they are a wear item. We will work with you if you have an issue though. Please be sure to follow the proper wash/dry instructions shown on the tag/collar.

-Clearance Items (carbon fiber, non carbon and ceramic) Clearance items purchased from our website or our eBay store are covered by warranty for a period of one (1) year to the original purchaser for any manufacturer defects.

VCRC Bike will repair or replace items eligible for warranty. In the event we no longer make a similar product, we will offer a store credit to be used at our website. If we deem the item not covered by warranty, we'll still repair or replace it, but there will be a small charge.

Items out of warranty or items with issues not covered by our warranty are eligible for our crash replacement program.

A qualified bicycle mechanic should install all Velo Carbon/VCRC Bike products using the proper tools and methods. This includes using bearing presses, facing BB shells, correctly tensioning hubs, etc. (read our installation instructions for each part for detailed instructions of proper installation). Failure to do this may void the warranty.

All warranties are for the original owner only and proof of purchase must be shown. Warranty covers items purchased from vcrcbike.com, velocarbon.com or an authorized dealer. Warranties are non-transferable.

The warranty does not cover structural or cosmetic damage arising from abuse or misuse including but not limited to damage caused by crashes or collisions, owner neglect, improper installation and/or assembly, improper maintenance, modifications, additions, changes to the original product, or other excessive, improper or abnormal conditions or labor charges for part replacement or changeover. Wear from normal use or environmental exposure is not covered by this warranty.

All VCRC Bike/Velo Carbon products are not intended for use in stunt riding, ramp jumping, acrobatics, or similar activities or with motors or power-driven vehicles. This warranty is VOID where the product has been used in any of these ways. The user assumes the risk of any personal injuries, damages to, or failures of the products, and any other losses including but not limited to any property damage if the product has been used in any such manner.

VCRC Bike/Velo Carbon makes no representation on the suitability of any product for its intended use, or any other use. Consumers, and others, should rely on their own judgment.

VCRC Bike/Velo Carbon shall not be responsible for any injuries to any individual using our products. Nor does it assume any incidental or consequential damages as a result of the use of our products. This includes, but is not limited to: lost profits, lost savings, and incidental or consequential damages or injuries arising from the use of, or inability to use this product.

Warranty does not offer any cash refunds.

We must receive all items before any warranty decision is made.

We reserve the right to decline any warranty, if the claim is deemed to be fraudulent.

Buyer is always responsible for shipping costs for warranty returns.

We reserve the right to charge for return shipping back to the customer on warranty items.

 

What to do if you have a claim:


Please ship the items back to us at the address below via a trackable and insured shipping method using the original shipping carton or one of similar construction. Please do not send bearings back in a regular envelope, they will get damaged and we will not be able to process your warranty claim. We are not responsible for lost packages or items damaged in return shipment. No RA # is needed.

Please include the following with all returns:
1. The product you are sending in for inspection
2. Your dated sales receipt
3. A completed warranty form (<< click link for form)


When you send a part back for warranty inspection we will determine what is causing your issue and what is needed to fix it.

International Customers
Do not ship us a package via UPS, Fedex, DHL, Airborne Express, etc. You must ship to us via the Post Office. Packages shipped via a method other than the Post Office will be returned to you at your expense.
VCRC Bike is not responsible for paying DUTIES, TAXES, and BROKERAGE.
On waybill please mark "DUTIES will be paid for by the Customer" to avoid paying the duty charges after we have received your package.
